Medicine Creek FarmsThe beef at MCF started from a desire to feed our family the finest all natural grass fed and finished angus beef available. We selected lowline Angus genetics from Grass Masters Cattle for their docile handling and weight gain on a grass diet. Grass fed beef, while taking longer to produce, provide much higher levels of “healthy fats” including Omega 3 and linoleic acid. https://draxe.com/grass-fed-beef-nutrition/. Our beef is free of hormones and antibiotics. The beef is processed in a local FDA inspected butcher, where we have firsthand knowledge of how our beef is handled from hoof to plate. Our docile animals live stress free lives in open pastures and are tame enough to feed by hand. This shows in the remarkable tenderness and flavor in every bite. Beef is available in very limited amounts by the mixed quarter typically October to December. Reserving your animal far in advance is recommended since it takes 18 months to produce grass fed beef as compared to 12 months for a feedlot product.
